1) When is the college festival?
The college festival will be held on
Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 9 am to 2 pm.
Sunday, February 19, 2012 will be Alfred Street's traditional observance of HBCU Sunday. Dr. Harold L. Martin, Sr., Chancellor of NC A&T State University, will be the speaker at the 8 am and 11 am services held at the church.

2) Where is the college festival being held?
Yes. The college festival will be held at T.C. Williams High
School located at 3330 King Street, Alexandria, VA. 22302
3) Is there a list of participating colleges?
Yes.
However, due to the fact that colleges are still confirming, the
most current list may be obtained by going to the College Festival website at
www.asbchbcu.org
.
4) How many colleges have been invited?
Out of the 101 accredited HBCUs, an
estimated 60 - 80 are expected to attend.
5) Are all of the colleges offering on-site admissions?
No. It will not be possible for all of the participating
colleges to offer on-site admissions. The ones that do offer on-site admissions will be
identified on the list of invited colleges.
6) Will the application fee be waived by all of the schools doing on-site
admissions?
No. It is up to the individual colleges to waive the application
fee. The colleges that will waive the application fee during the college festival will be
indicated on the list of invited colleges.
7) Is it necessary to register for the college festival?
Yes. Due to the limited amount of space available,
on-line pre-registration is strongly encouraged by
12 noon on Friday, February 17, 2012. To register, go to

8) Who should register?
Everyone attending. Including parents, students, guardians,
counselors, mentors, etc.
9) Is there a fee to attend the college festival?
NO. The college festival is
FREE!
10) What grade levels may attend the college festival?
Grades 10, 11, 12 and high school graduates.
11) Will food be provided?
Yes. Vendors will be available onsite and restaurants are
nearby.
12) How can I register a group?
To register a group, starting with the information for the first person in the group, include the group name and size on the registration form. Click Submit. Print the Registration Confirmation Form. Hold down the "Alt" key and press the left arrow key on your keyboard. (If your computer does not have the "Alt" key then look for the "Go Back" function on your browser.) The Registration Form page will be redisplayed with the previously entered data. Be sure and change any data that is unique per each member within the group (i.e. name, e-mail, etc.). Repeat this process for each member of the group.
13) Can I cancel my registration?
Yes.
On the Contacts page, click CANCEL at the bottom of the page. Enter the requested data on the Cancel Registration page and click SUBMIT. Click Confirm on the Confirm Cancel Registration page. This will generate an email to you. Click the link that was sent to you in the e-mail and follow the instructions to complete the cancellation.
